Day 2: Midnight in Paris

Midnight in Paris w/ Owen Wilson & Marion Cotillard

I wanted to see this film during the summer in New York but never got around to it. I’m paying for it big time. I streamed the film, making it ten billion times longer to view. Smart move there.

It’s a Woody Allen film, can’t really go wrong there. Visually, it’s exceptional beautifully – rich tones and textures. It provided a setting for all things of ┬álove to happen. Literally. The storyline revolves around Wilson’s character Gil, who, according to his fiancee, played by Rachel McAdams, is in love with nostalgia. His idea of perfect romance occurs in Paris during the 1920’s. Of course, during that time, the best of the modern world was in Paris – the Fitzgeralds, Pablo Picasso, Gertrude Stein..Dali. So, you get the gist of what’s happening immediately. Continue reading
